Who can work in Cyprus, where to look for jobs, when you need your degree recognised, and how to register as self-employed.

First: are you allowed to work
EU citizens (including Israelis with an EU passport) can work in Cyprus, employed or self-employed, without a work permit. If you stay longer than three months, you register with the Migration Department (MEU1).
Without an EU passport you need a residence permit that allows work, for example a permit for paid employment, an EU Blue Card or a job with a company of foreign interests. The categories and requirements are on the Migration Department's site.

- Hebrew is an advantage: search LinkedIn for jobs with "Hebrew", for example in Limassol and Nicosia.
